Exploring Through Experience
For me, exploration has never been limited to traveling somewhere new. It can happen through a trail, a run through a familiar city, an afternoon on the water, a café, a restaurant, or simply trying something I have not experienced before.
What connects these experiences is curiosity and participation. I enjoy discovering places by being part of them — moving through their streets and landscapes, experiencing their communities, trying their food, and paying attention to the details that make each experience different.
Over the years, these experiences have taken many forms. Some have been physical adventures, others have been social, cultural, or connected to everyday life. Together, they have become another way for me to learn: not only by reading or studying, but by going somewhere, doing something, and experiencing it for myself.
That is what Explorations represents on this website: a collection of experiences shaped by curiosity, discovery, and learning through doing.

Different Ways of Exploring
What I enjoy about exploration is that it does not have to follow one particular format. Some experiences are planned challenges that require time and effort, while others begin simply because something catches my interest and I decide to experience it for myself.
The scale can be different too. An exploration might take me through a large natural environment or introduce me to one small corner of a city. It might involve physical activity, food, culture, learning, or something entirely different. What matters to me is the experience of discovering something beyond what is already familiar.
As my interests and surroundings change, the ways I explore can change with them. This collection is therefore not meant to be limited to a fixed set of activities, but to grow naturally as new experiences become part of my journey.
Documenting the Experiences
An important part of these explorations has been documenting them along the way. Photos have captured places, activities, and moments that might otherwise become distant memories, while individual reports have given me a way to preserve the experiences behind them.
The way I document an exploration depends on the experience itself. A running or hiking report might include a route map, while a café, restaurant, or cooking experience is better represented through photographs and the story surrounding it.
Over time, these individual records have grown into a larger archive of experiences from different periods of my life. Looking through them allows me not only to remember where I went or what I did, but also to see how the ways I explore have evolved over time.
An Exploration That Continues
Exploration has changed with different periods of my life, and I expect it to continue changing. Some activities have remained important for years, while others belong more strongly to a particular time or place.
What remains constant is the curiosity to experience something beyond what is already familiar. New places, interests, and opportunities can introduce entirely new ways of exploring, just as past experiences have shaped the collection that exists today.
For that reason, I see Explorations as an evolving part of this website. The collection can continue to grow with new experiences, while preserving the many different ways I have explored along the way.
